The following statement is not intended to be exhaustive, but is an expression of our common belief, which is derived from our understanding of Scripture.
Polity.
Seventh Day Baptists consider liberty of thought under the guidance of Scripture and the Holy Spirit to be essential to Christian belief and practice. We, therefore, encourage the unhindered study and open discussion of Scripture. We uphold the individual's freedom of conscience in seeking to understand and obey the will of God. Therefore, we have no binding creed.
(2 Corinthians 3:17-18; 2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 12:2; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 4:3-6, Ephesians 4:15; Romans 10:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 John 2:27; Galatians 6:7)
God.
We believe in God, the Supreme Being; personal, perfect, infinite, spiritual, eternal; the Creator, Sustainer and Sovereign of the universe; our Heavenly Father who manifests a holy redeeming love toward all mankind, forgiving the repentant, condemning the unrepentant; and who desires to share his love in a personal relationship with everyone.
(1 Timothy 1:17; Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Kings 8:27; 1 John 1:5; Genesis 1:1-2; Acts 17:24-25, Acts 17:28; Psalm 90:1-2; Matthew 28:19; Isaiah 57:15; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8; John 5:24; John 3:16-18; Psalms 18:30; Matthew 5:48)
Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh. He is our Savior, Teacher and Guide, who gave himself on the cross as a complete and final sacrifice for sin, and draws to himself all who will come to him in love and trustful obedience. As our risen Lord, seated at the Father's right hand, he is the one mediator between us and the Father.
(John 1:14-18, 34; John 3:16; John 12:32; John 14:6; Hebrews 1:3; Romans 1:3-5; 1 John 3:16; 1 Peter 2:24; Hebrews 10:10-14; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 John 2:1-2; Galatians 4:4-6; Ephesians 1:18-23;)
The Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, God dwelling within us; the Inspirer of Scripture, the Comforter, active in the hearts, minds and lives of mankind; who convicts of sin, gives spiritual birth to believers, instructs in righteousness, and empowers for witnessing and service.
(John 3:5-8; John 14:16-17, John 16:7-11; Romans 5:5, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Ephesians 1:13)
The Bible.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our final authority in matters of faith and practice
(2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 3:2; 2 Peter 3:1-2, 2 Peter 3:15-16; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Matthew 5:17-19; Psalms 119-105; John 20:30-31; Hebrews 1:1-2)
The Ten Commandments.
We believe that the Ten Commandments are ten divine precepts- applications of the eternal and universal principle of love; established by God, written by his finger at Mt. Sinai, magnified by Jesus Christ, and shown by Him to be the moral code for all mankind.
(Genesis 2:2; Genesis 4:8-13; Genesis 31:32 , Exodus 20:1-17; Exodus 31:18, Matthew 5:28, Matthew 19:16-19;Matthew 22:36-39, Deuteronomy 6:5-6, James 2:8-12, John 14:15, John 14:21)
Sin and Salvation.
We believe that sin is the transgression of the law of love--disobedience to God, and failure to live according to his will. All who refuse to repent of their sins and receive Christ as their Savior will be punished at the time of the final judgment. We also believe that salvation from sin and death is the gift of God by redeeming love, accomplished by Christ's death and resurrection, and is received only by repentance and faith in Him.
(John 1:12, 1 John 1:8-10; 1 John 3:4-5; 1Jn 3:16-18, 1 John 3:36; Romans 3:21-25; Romans 5:6-8; Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-9)
Eternal Life.
We believe that eternal life is available to us only through our Savior, Jesus Christ, and is granted on one's acceptance of salvation in Him. He, having paid sin's death penalty for us, and having conquered death, will gather together not only those who have died righteous but also the living righteous, and will bestow upon them immortality in glorified bodies at His return in heavenly power and glory.
(John 3:14-16; John 6:40; John 10:27-28; John 14:1-3; John 17:1-3, Romans 5:14-17; Romans 6:23, Luke 24:1-6, Matthew 24:12-13,30; Matthew 25:31-34, 46; Matthew 28:1-8,1 Corinthians 15:20-22, 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 1 Corinthians 15:53-54, 1 John 5:11-13, Colossians 3:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Titus 2:13)
The Church
We believe that the church of God is all redeemed believers gathered by the Holy Spirit and joined into one body, of which Christ is the Head. We believe that the local church is a community of believers organized in covenant relationship for worship, fellowship and service, practicing and proclaiming common convictions, while growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe in the priesthood of all believers and seek to work together for more effective witness.
(Acts 20:28; 1 Corinthians 12:13-14, 27; Romans 12:4-5; Colossians 1:18; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 2:19-22; Romans 15:5-7; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:4-10; Matthew 18:20; Hebrews 10:24-25)
Baptism.
We believe that baptism of believers by immersion is a witness to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and is a symbol of death to sin and new life in Christ.
(Romans 6:3-4; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38-41; Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:11; Galatians 3:26-27)
The Lord's Supper.
We believe that the Lord's supper commemorates the suffering and death of Jesus Christ our Redeemer until he comes. It is a symbol of Christian fellowship and allegiance to our risen Lord.
(Mark 14:22-25, Matthew 26:26-29,1 Corinthians 10:16-17; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
The Sabbath.
We believe that the Sabbath of the Bible, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), is sacred time, a gift of God, instituted at creation, affirmed in the Ten Commandments, and reaffirmed by Jesus and the apostles. We also believe that, in loving response to God's grace toward us, as revealed in Christ, the Sabbath should be faithfully observed as a day of rest and worship and that it is a reminder of God's presence in time--His pledge of eternal rest in the paradise of God.
(Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 16:23-30; Exodus 20:8-11; Matthew 5:17-19; Mark 2:27-28; Luke 4:16; Acts 13:14, Acts 13:42-44; Acts 16:11-13; Acts 17:2-3; Acts 18:4-11; Ezekiel 20:19-20; Hebrews 4:9-10; John 14:15; Isaiah 58:13-14)
Evangelism.
We believe that Jesus Christ commissions us as Christians to preach the gospel to all people throughout the whole world.
(Matthew 24:14; Acts 1: 8; Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 4:5-6; 1 Peter 3:15, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Ephesians 6:14-20)

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23

20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly `places',

8 And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;
11 of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.

2 Peter 3:15-16
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you;

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am Jehovah thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness `of any thing' that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,
6 and showing lovingkindness unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work;
10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: `in it' thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

39 And a second like `unto it' is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

James 2:8-12
8 Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
9 but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one `point', he is become guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.

21 But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;
23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 whom God set forth `to be' a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God;
Romans 5:6-8
6 For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, `it is' the gift of God;
9 not of works, that no man should glory.
2 Thessalonians 1:5-9
5 `which is' a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 if so be that it is righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,
7 and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire,
8 rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:
9 who shall suffer punishment, `even' eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,
John 3:14-16
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;
15 that whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 6:40
40 For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.
John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, `there' ye may be also.
John 17:1-3
1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:
2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.
3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, `even' Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:14-17
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the trespass, so also `is' the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.
16 And not as through one that sinned, `so' is the gift: for the judgment `came' of one unto condemnation, but the free gift `came' of many trespasses unto justification.
17 For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, `even' Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Luke 24:1-6
1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:
5 and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
Matthew 24:12-13,30
12 And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.
13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matthew 25:31-34, 46
31 But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory:
32 and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats;
33 and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
46 And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.
Matthew 28:1-8
1 Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first `day' of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.
3 His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified.
6 He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.
1 Corinthians 15:20-22
20 But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.
21 For since by man `came' death, by man `came' also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:42-44
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual `body'.
1 Corinthians 15:53-54
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 John 5:11-13
11 And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.
13 These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, `even' unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God.
Colossians 3:1-4
1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth.
3 For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, `who is' our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
17 then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Titus 2:13
13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Acts 20:28
28 Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.
1 Corinthians 12:13-14, 27
13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
Romans 12:4-5
4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.
Colossians 1:18
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Acts 2:42
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
20 being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;
21 in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;
22 in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
Romans 15:5-7
5 Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:
6 that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.
Ephesians 4:11-16
11 And he gave some `to be' apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
13 till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, `even' Christ;
16 from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in `due' measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.
2 Peter 3:18
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him `be' the glory both now and for ever. Amen.
1 Peter 2:4-10
4 unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,
5 ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Because it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
7 For you therefore that believe is the preciousness: but for such as disbelieve, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner;
8 and, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for `God's' own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Matthew 18:20
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting `one another'; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
Romans 6:3-4
3 Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Acts 2:38-41
38 And Peter `said' unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, `even' as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
40 And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.
41 They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added `unto them' in that day about three thousand souls.

22 And as they were eating, he took bread, and when he had blessed, he brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take ye: this is my body.
23 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them: and they all drank of it.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
25 Verily I say unto you, I shall no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Matthew 26:26-29
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I shall not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
1 Corinthians 10:16-17
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a communion of the body of Christ?
17 seeing that we, who are many, are one bread, one body: for we are all partake of the one bread.
1 Corinthians 11:23-30
23 For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;
24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink `it', in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body.
30 For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

23 And he said unto them, This is that which Jehovah hath spoken, Tomorrow is a solemn rest, a holy sabbath unto Jehovah: bake that which ye will bake, and boil that which ye will boil; and all that remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not become foul, neither was there any worm therein.
25 And Moses said, Eat that to-day; for to-day is a sabbath unto Jehovah: to-day ye shall not find it in the field.
26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
27 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that there went out some of the people to gather, and they found none.
28 And Jehovah said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
29 See, for that Jehovah hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
Exodus 20:8-11
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work;
10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: `in it' thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Matthew 5:17-19
17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

7 And he departed thence, and went into the house of a certain man named Titus Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
8 And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
9 And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace:

14 then shalt thou delight thyself in Jehovah; and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

2 Corinthians 4:5-6
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

19 to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil `one'.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
19 And on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
